Expectations for the 2013 -2014 Championship Season

Post by StLedge on Thu Jul 04, 2013 9:11 pm

Please share you thoughts on the up coming 2013 - 2014 season.

Did last seasons league position truly reflect the team performance?

Are we likely to gain a promotion spot, either automatic or play off?

Who in the current squad would you like to see the back of and why?

Which players should we keep hold of and why?

Are the owners starting to realise what they have actually bought in to and they have been fed bad advice after advice?

looking even further we will get relegated the season after from the Premier League. When we got promoted the last time we had players like Dunn, Duff, Jansen at their peak...cant see any players of that quality.
Do we want to get promoted and getting thrashed week in week out by clubs like stoke

Didn't Robinson's contract expire at the end of last season? When did he sign a new one? I wasn't aware that he'd signed anything other than the original five-year one when he joined us in 2008.

And so as the Window approaches we get the same old Katie story of "will he be sold"? Gary Bowyer has said that he isn't for sale but then compares him to Bale and Ronaldo and says everyone has a price!!!!! will he go? hope not but with the wage bill needing to be slashed don't rule it out

There's a lot worse players on high wages that should be shown the door LONG before Rhodes is even a consideration.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Rovers have hired the same legal people that fought for the Bosman ruling to contest the FFP legalities.. Can seem to find it now though, anyone seen anything on this?

We aren't too far off the play-off, but yeah Rhodes has pretty much kept us where we are. It may be worth noting that he is just scoring the goals, the ball needs to get up there for him to score so let's not forget them.
