I don't fancy it. I keep seeing people referring to it as "genius" because of the use of a teddy bear as this womanising, foul-mouthed rogue. I bet I'll end up watching it at some point, but I'm not in any rush.

This was so good I had to read it twice. The first time I was bamboozled. A truly arcticulate comment from Sir Ledge.

Re: The Last Film I Watched Was....

Two movies I watched last night and enjoyed:

The Cabin in the Woods (2011) - This movie seems super-cliched and even slightly irritating for the first half hour or so, but soon you start to realise it's a bit of a pisstake. Some really dark humour in there (Americans aren't really known for that, are they?), and some great twists make this a very welcome addition to the horror genre. I can safely say it's probably the most original horror movie to come out of mainstream Hollywood in 10 or 15 years. It's even quite silly in parts, without being overly-silly and descending into a "Scary Movie" type of thing.

7/10 - Definitely worth a look.

21 Jump Street (2012) - I didn't really know what to expect here, but ended up being pleasantly entertained for 90-odd minutes. Well-written, very funny in parts, well-cast, and a couple of very surprising cameos. I won't give anything away if people haven't seen it, but I'd definitely recommend watching it if you're feeling for a good comedy with some serious bits in it.

7.5/10 - One of the better movies I've seen this year.

Brave 2012

Latest Pixar venture and very much in the "How to train your dragon" vein as them Yanks seem to love the Scottish accent. It's done much better this time and the film portrays Scotland very well (I know you English will find that idea hard to take) in that the CGI landscapes etc are very good and the clans are well assembled. It is quite funny in parts and the fantasy characters are quite believable. Great one to take the young 'uns to...

Brave is not up there with some of Pixar's greats but it is still a really good film.
