You think you know someone...

Post by Willy on Sun Aug 29, 2010 11:39 am

And then they turn out to be...weird. I knew this guy from being four-years-old. I went through infant and junior school with him, met up with him on family holidays, spoke to him last year about journalism and other stuff, and he turns out to be a sexual deviant. I really don't know how I feel about this one. If I didn't know him then I'd probably be, "yeah, throw the book at him. Put electrodes on his balls and fuck him up a bit". Something like this really makes you question your views on certain things. pale

I had similar feelings about Chris Langham when he was rumbled as a paedo. I always liked his work and found him to be extremely watchable and actually he still is.

I just can't believe it. And it's in the Daily Mail, which makes it even worse...national press and all that. His parents must be devastated, he's their only child, and they're a really nice family, too. I'm really in two minds about what to do about him.

Be wary of it if it's in that fucking rag.

The link is in the first post. I had the impression a few people could've missed that. But it was in the LET and Burnley Express a few weeks ago, and the DM version isn't far off the mark, really. Click on the first sentence...

Embarassed

I thought you'd just made that sentence blue for some reason. It never occurred to me that it was a link. I\'ll Get Me Coat

I figured I shouldn't do it, but I thought I'd try and be clever. Turns out it was a bit TOO clever, eh? :/

The normal text is blue anyway. The link just blends.

I know a lot of people who talk like that. It makes you wonder how England will survive with people like this managing to get important jobs.

We're already doomed. The 'txt spk' generation are going to breed mongs and in twenty years we'll be overpopulated with spackers. I fear for my country.

It embarrasses me to think that I belong to the same generation as these imbeciles.

How long is a generation? And what point is it measured from?

Not sure but Paul Simon noted that every one sends a hero up the pop charts.
