3/4 of the way through the new Karate Kid, and it's very average. Sticks to the original in parts, and Will Smith's kid is a decent little actor, but it's just so bloody typical of a remake.

With 25 mins to go, I can safely say it's a 4.5/10 - at best.

First time I've watched it, too. Obviously I've heard all the hype, and it didn't disappoint. Very Happy

I'm not in any rush to see it, but I definitely will since the first one was groundbreaking, but the second was just okay-ish. I feel like they realised the second was just "okay", as most have rated it, including me. So the third should really be very good. One of my colleagues went to see it in 3D earlier. I'll ask him tomorrow at work how it was.

Then again, he is a little braindead, and he seems to look at someone else when he's talking to me.

By pure coincidence, 'braindead' has the word 'inbred' within it. Hopefully (for him), that won't be the defining factor.

People say I do that. Apparently I have a squint, although I rarely notice it. And I'm definitely not braindead - or inbred.

Also, I'm hopefully watching Toy Story 3 on Friday. Smile

It did get a bit of hype from other people, but I also thought they could have done better with the concept. The storyline seemed like they wrote it in a rush, and there were a few scenes where they attempted to build suspense and ended up just wasting time. I sat there thinking, "Get to the point", and instead I got another slow-motion shot of a van falling off a bridge or the back of two kids' heads.

It was decent, never really lost my attention, but it could have been better and, in my opinion, it wasn't the masterpiece that a few had billed it as. On the other hand, her indoors thought it was brilliant and wouldn't shut up about it all the way home (and I really hate when someone wants to tell me what happened in a film I just watched from the seat next to them).

Saw Toy Story 3 in the cinema last night in 3D, fucking brilliant.

Everyone go and see it. Good story line, plenty of laughs and some emotion too.

Well as I watched the film yesterday (past tense) and the thread is titled 'The last Film I watched was, not the film I am currently watching, and as the film has been made, and it is not an ongoing Broadway show, was would be right.

Watched Inception the other day. Good film, visuals were good, storyline was hard to grasp at times. Going to watch Toy Story 3 in 3D in about 20 minutes time. I think I'll need those glasses to hide my tears Wink

Also, as I'm a big Jackie Chan fan I will be going to see the new Karate Kid next week.

Good, but not more than a 7/10, and not worth the hype.

Watched Toy Story 3 in 3D tonight. Bloody hell, it was emotional. It was really, really good. Out of the three films I've watched for the first time recently, it ties with Avatar in first place, with Inception (which was still pretty good) behind them.

Yeah I saw it today. I really enjoyed it too. Bit sad at the end, it felt like the end of an era.

I watched Inception a few weeks ago, unlike you guys I didnt enjoy it as much as the critics made it out to be, it just dragged on in the middle, theres too many unanswered questions, confusion starts to set in with the number of levels the dreams tale place and who is the dreamer.

6/10
