arover, a friend of mine will be journeying over to Turkey soon, and she is wondering what decent lager type drinks are worth drinking, are you able to help at all?

She won't have too much choice in most parts, the standard one is Effes which is sold bottled and in draught form (it's what I drink all the time) and is perfectly acceptable and weighs in at 5% just like Stella.

The other choices are likely to be imported stuff like Heineken etc but you normally find that they are much more expensive.

Where's she going?

I went to Bodrum Gumbet, plenty to drink but no local lager i can think of.

I have to say Turkey was the best holiday with the lads I have ever had, although not sure I would recommend it to women, lots of guys (yes me and my mates included) would perve and hit on women. the turkish men are worse.

She is going to Ovacık, Fethiye I believe.

So Effes is really the better option then.

That's only about an hour and a half from me there's a world of difference though. Tell her to avoid Calis beach, it's full of British mongs.
