Fans Football

Post by Guest on Fri Jan 08, 2010 12:31 pm

Afternoon ladies and gents,

There have been discussions regarding getting a bunch of us together for a kick about, or perhaps even some competitive football and I am currently testing the water to see how many people would take a serious interest into this? There are no official plans, or confirmations yet concerning the finer details (the event, dates etc) but I would welcome any suggestions or ideas.

Lol...metal hip. That didn't do you any favours in terms of the picture that people on here have built up of you. Wink

We should all come to Turkey and have a pool party at yours instead! cheers

I'll get on the phone over the weekend to St Wilfred's leisure centre and some others that have football pitches.

Rob, I'm thinking about one of the local leisure centres providing pitch hire is available. But it that or the JJB as originally mentioned by Dan and Willy but the booking fee is a bit steep in my opinion, particularly if not enough folk turn up. The other option would be to get us all down to Pleasington/Witton for a kick about but grass play in this weather seems a bit dangeous to be honest.

What do you think?

It's cold outside and I don't like playing in the cold. I once slid on a frozen pitch to try to keep the ball in play Sad

Obviously why is that obvious just trying to get lads that are close enough to have a kick about!

OK why not ask Roverfromdownunder, or finger, or mcteeth, or Dodge, or me. orarover, or African Rover, or RW (where is RW Sad )

That's why I said in and around Blackburn, as you will be there at that time. I wish I was!!
