My Feelings About Our Club

Post by Fair Lyric on Fri Jan 01, 2010 11:28 pm

I love my new hat, it does suit me. I like cheese, and my grater from Ikea is fab, .90p can't complain. However, put them all together, and one can only draw a very sad conclusion. SAM IS SHIT. THE HAT, THE CHEESE, THE GRATER......We play like WANK.

WE DO, we really do.

Pink Floyd, comes to mind, Brick In The Wall.

If Sam gave a shit he would put on a fucking good show. He puts good players, (Andrews go back to sleep), to pasture.

We want a team to beleive in. We did have and, stupidly we still support. So SAM, please do the punters a favour and give us a fucking break.

Let's play like winners, yes?

We can......

We have a good team and we still can win.

I agree with what you're saying, essentially. Although the bit about "stupidly we still support" is up for debate. scratch

Also, that side of the grater isn't correct for such a hard cheese. You may want to turn it 90 degrees. Smile

And then turn it another 90 degrees and administer untold injury upon thyself, I can't think of a grater way to go...

Correct Willy, I'm not happy with the stupidly we still support bit either, attendance at the likes of Bournemouth & Gillingham away in the 3rd division will attest to that.

I'll always support Rovers no matter what happens, doesn't mean I'll be blindly positive about things all the time like some people are, though. I've been lucky enough to only see Rovers outside the Premiership for two seasons. My first game was in '93-'94 against Chelsea and I never looked back, but I do realise I've been very lucky to experience some of the things I have. It's just a shame I was only 12 when we won the league. I'm certain I'd have enjoyed it ten times more if I'd have been 20 or so. Then again, that'd mean I'd be 41 now and I'm not gonna wish my life away over football. Wink

Think I was just shy of legal drinking, halcyon days of being permanently drunk without the consequences of hangovers or bills to pay...

Oh aye, walking away from Anfield that day was like walking on air.

Newcastle at home just before that was magnificent too, you don't get many feelings like that in your life.

Nobble.

It were a reet good year.

Best memory was Shearer dismissing Pallister as if he wasn't there and leathering the ball past Schmeichel to make it 2-0 to us at Ewood and send every single one of us into a kind of ecstasy unparalleled since.

I think that was the year we won the league but it might have been before, either way it was fucking magnificent.

Fuck off Pallister, fuck off Schmeichel - baluuuuung!!!!

More nobble.

Shearer was virtually unplayable in those days, 3.2 million? Bargain x10.

More nobble.

Aye, that was the year before when Shearer skinned Pallister to make it 2-0. I remember it 'cause the stadium was open at one side due to it not being finished.

Them were t'days, eh? cheers drunken
