Best and Worst Gifts...

Post by PieEater on Mon Dec 28, 2009 12:41 pm

Anyone who knows my casual attire and battle (i'm losing) with diabetes knows that the worst gifts you can give me are cufflinks and chocolates (as presented by an ex-girlfriend of 4 years).

So then, what are your bests and worsts of this festive period?

Best:

Socks - every dads apparent hatred, not me! There's something quite cherry popping about socks that have never seen a spin cycle, the smooth surface and optimum elasticity, mmmmmmmmmmm! I tell you, a big lottery win would see me retire to buy socks!

Worst:

Cashew Nuts - yes that's right, a tin of Cashews. Now everyone likes the odd luxury edible at Christmas but Cashews? Why not complete my grocery list and beautifully wrap some bog roll?

Undecided:

Voucher - for a tattoo. Now, I'm a good looking bloke with the odd swagger of style but i don't particularly conform. I dislike the old sailor style tattoo and have equal contempt for 'trendy tats' bored of stars and crappy little hand efforts. However, the wife, quite an artistic beast has decided I require inking... we'll see.

Best: Some fingerless gloves with mitten foldover things.

Worst: Didn't get any particularly bad presents, maybe some Paul Smith spray which I don't really like the smell of.

Rob, your wishlist must have bordered on the incredibly mundane for the best to be gloves and worst smellies.

I didn't have a wishlist which is probably why I wasn't disappointed with any of my gifts.

I was thinking about a huge slinky (please dont be childish) when I was in the airport, and I wondered if it would be possible to set a slinky down an escalator and how long would it go on for.

Beaut, just got confirmation that my Archos is £20 cheaper than expected!

I have invested it though along with approximately 280 other pounds on A Valentines treat for the undeserving one. Having said that, a Shaftsbury Hotel, plus train tickets, plus dinner and tickets for whatever the Jacko thing is called in the West End aint bad.

The downside is that i Have to watch the Jacko thing...
