I lost in the Semis of the Uefa cup season just gone, and wen a bit silly in off season witha few transfers. Things aren't going so well, so i've reverted to '09 where my team, nay, my squad, is perfection.

Dunno how you can go back to 2009 now. I loaded my '09 game up (which had an AMAZING team and I was in 2021), but it just felt wrong when there was a newer version just sitting there on my desktop.

Yeah but i've ballsed up my new version.

I MAY have spent £15,000,000 on a RB I have to loan out for 2 seasons before I can play him. My only other RB is Emerton and he's now 32. I have no money and am £20k over my wage budget.

Kalinic, my top scorer from last season wants to leave and only has a year left on his contract and i'm dangerously low on CMs, after selling most to raise funds for a £25,000,000 swoop for Veloso.

Hmmm.

You can do better than 25m for Veloso. He's ace, but he's no 2009 Veloso.

I'd suggest carrying on and going for some cheap good players. I have a few recommendations, but I won't reveal them until you agree to restarting 2010. Wink

Re: FAO thebluehalf

Post by Willy on Fri Jan 08, 2010 11:37 am

Was bored at my mate's last night and decided to start up a Serie A on 2010 on his laptop. The randomness is unreal when it comes to stats. When I bought Cristaldo the first time (with Rovers) he had loads of 15s and mostly 14s, whereas my mate's had 14s and 13s on most stuff, so I was like "ha! Mine's better!"...the one I bought last night had 16s and 17s on so much stuff, he was rated as "has the potential to be a lot better than our strongest striker Klaas Jan-Huntelaar", so that was nice. It's just startling how random the stats can be sometimes.

I went to buy whatshisface as well, that dude from Metalurg, but I'd already maxed out the "2 overseas players per transfer window" rule, which sucks ass, 'cause I bought Sergio Romero (who's the best 'keeper on the game, I reckon)...much better than Lloris who costs too much and lets too many goals in.

Mount the image to a virtual drive, then. I don't think I've played a game that requires a disc since about 1998.

You were right, I did like it.

I'm going to continue with '09 for now, i'm going for an unbeaten league campaign a la Arsenal. Maybe i'll play '10 again when I lose. It's just horrible going from:

Kameni, Di Santis, Fazio, Chrgrynskyi, Srna, Fleck, Moutino, Chantome, Obasi, Ibrahimovic, Aguero

to...

Blackburn Rovers.

But the disc drive won't read the disc so I can't put it onto a virtual drive.

I meant download the image file so you have no need for the disc whatsoever. I'm pretty sure I posted a guide on how to do it in the games section about a year ago. That was for FM 2008, but it's the same process for the new one. If not, I'll PM you a guide on how to do it if you're not sure. It's a piece of piss and you'll never buy another game ever ever ever ever ever... Wink
