The first 4 episodes of Californication.

Duchovny does plenty of shagging.

Oh goodness me. David Duchovny has to be one of the most boring actors ever. No screen presence whatsoever, but The X Files was still ace. Not heard of this Californication. I thought you were on about the film 'Kalifornia' he did with Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis. He does some shagging in that as well. Good film, minus Duchovny.

I disagree about the screen presence thing in this one. He plays the mischievous blocked writer fond of the booze, fags and shagging really well and delivers the sharp tongued lines he is given expertly. There is not much depth to this but his performance is good and carries the whole thing. Passes a few evenings and I've got 2 seasons to watch.

Exactly, it's hardly a double six.

Watched the rest of the first season of Californication.

Quite enjoyed it, mildly amusing and a proper shag fest.

I think this is where The Big Bang Theory has been mentioned before, I dunno, can't be arsed to go back a few pages and find something to quote so I'll just start talking about it randomly.

I downloaded what I thought was the full second series (episodes 1-20), but it turned out there were a couple more that have only recently been released, so I caught up with those recently. I honestly never thought I'd be into this programme but it just so happens it's one of my fave comedies now and I'm really addicted to it. So much so that I had a really weird dream about Sheldon where I was in a converted barn smoking roll ups with him and then we sat down together and he put his legs on my lap, it was all very gay and I don't know why I'm telling you all. Embarassed

Ahem!! Anywayyyyy...so the 'cliffhanger' was a good one, not knowing what's gonna happen between Penny and Leonard and the series ending on the space station with the plumbing problems due to Howard's flawed "space toilet", I thought it was clever. Anyone have any idea when series three is due?

Oopsie, yeah, I think I did just spoil it a bit. I didn't realise it hadn't been shown on E4 yet. Rolling Eyes
I don't think I gave TOO much away, it was pretty obvious that something was going to emanate between Penny and Leonard, so at least I didn't say exactly what happened. It's very, very funny though.

It's definitely series two on at the moment, DG. The third hasn't been written yet, but I dunno when it's due.

Sheldon and Howard are definitely the two best characters, but I do love watching Kaley Cuoco as well. She gets more and more attractive the more I watch her, in fact, I think I'm developing an unhealthy obsession with a blonde, which has never happened to me before. Embarassed bounce

The Big Bang Theory eh?

Just had a look at this and Season 1 is clogging up a computer in Turkey as we speak.

It's very, very pedantic and witty, just why I like it. I'm really not into American sitcoms as a rule, but this one is very clever and a lot of the jokes require the viewer to have a vocabulary unlike Friends which is full of banal rubbish.

Hope you like it. :-bd :

It's been renewed on CBS for 2 more years, and I would imagine the next season will start in September since that's the beginning of the "fall" schedule (which the first 2 series featured in) on American TV.

I take it that's some sort of knee-jerk reaction to Angels and Demons coming out? Or am I totally mistaken?

Angels & Demons is far better than The Da Vinci Code. Less religious conspiracy stuff.

Fell asleep at half time but rallied and I'm glad I did to watch Iniesta swagger.
